At Stena Aluminium we work with great focus on safety, environment and quality.
For us safety is always number 1.
Our vision is and we work intensely with these issues. Currently (3 June 2011) the present and ongoing record is 387 days without incidents with absence.
For us is natural to work with continous improvements and to develop our processes. All our operations are certified bu Bureau Veritas according to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and AFS2001:1.
We are working actively to minimize our climate impact by increasing our efficiency and reducing emissions from sources such as energy and transports. A good example is our deliveries of liquid aluminium, where each delivery saves up to 2 tons of greenhouse gas emissions in comparison to delivering ingots.
Our business has in itself a positive impact on the environment; recycling aluminium saves about 95% energy compared to producing new aluminium. Every year we publish an environmental report which shows how our efforts to minimize our environmental impact progress.
