We have a clear policy to avoid conflict minerals and cobalt from conflict-affected and high-risk areas and require our suppliers not to supply us with such metals.
We expect our suppliers to take reasonable steps to ensure that the parts and products delivered to us do not originate from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. In other words, that they do not consist of conflict minerals or cobalt that benefit armed groups or contributes to human rights violations.
The aim of this policy is to ensure that our products neither directly nor indirectly finance nor in any other way benefit armed groups or contributes to human rights violations by mining or mineral trade in Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. We expect our suppliers to establish policies, long-term frameworks and management systems in accordance with the OECD guidelines Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas to the extent that they deem appropriate in the individual areas of activity.
We will not buy in any material which is classed as conflict mineral, either as raw material or other type of input material. Cobalt and the specific metals listed above are substances that are not in any way expected to be included in our products. From our perspective they are considered as unwanted, which is why the issue is not, as such, a problem for us.
